Woman charged in boyfriend's stabbing

Sophia D. Williams, 24, of Jedburg Road is charged with criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature after authorities say she stabbed her live-in boyfriend during an argument on Tuesday.

A Summerville-area woman is accused of stabbing her boyfriend in the shoulder during an argument on Tuesday.

Berkeley County sheriff's deputies charged Sophia D. Williams, 24, of Jedburg Road with criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature.

Deputies responded to 1463 Jedburg Road at 1:54 p.m. Tuesday and found the victim, Cleavon Steward, 35, with a stab wound to his right shoulder, according to an incident report released on Wednesday.

Williams told deputies she and the victim were arguing when she stabbed him in the shoulder with a knife, the report said. Deputies recovered the knife from the front yard.

Steward told deputies the suspect accused him of cheating on her and stabbed him during the argument.
