Two men charged in loan store robbery

Corey Jackson

Mount Pleasant police have arrested two men accused of robbing a loan store two weeks ago.

Police charged Corey Lamont Jackson, 25, and Alfrigh W. Williams, 25, both of Mount Pleasant, with armed robbery.

Police say Williams entered Security Finance at 1035 Johnnie Dodds Blvd. about 1:30 p.m. on July 22 and presented a handgun while demanding money.

Williams left with the money and got into a car with Jackson, who drove away from the scene, according to Capt. Stan Gragg of the Mount Pleasant police department.
