Salt Marsh Sheepshead-Trout Tournament
The third annual Salt Marsh Apparel Foundation Sheepshead-Trout Tournament benefiting the Ronald McDonald House of Charleston will be fished Dec. 2. The captain's meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 29 at Charleston Yacht Club. The entry fee is $35, with the weigh-in from 4-4:30 p.m. Dec. 2 at Charleston Yacht Club. Bulls Island Archery Hunt
The second Bull's Island Fall Archery Hunt for deer will be held Dec. 4-9. Hunters must possess the required state hunting license. Each hunter will check in and register before setting up camp and/or starting to hunt. Hunters under the age of 16 must have successfully completed a state-approved hunters education course and be under the immediate supervision of an adult. The Federal Wildlife Officer (FWO) and Refuge Manager will conduct a meeting with archers to discuss the refuge hunt regulations at 6 p.m. on Dec. 3. Hunters must provide their own transportation to and from Bulls Island or make transport arrangements with the refuge concession Coastal Expeditions by calling 843-884-7684. East Cooper Outboard Motor Club Turkey Shoot
The East Cooper Outboard Motor Club's 54th annual charity turkey shoot is underway at Goldbug Island, located at 1560 Ben Sawyer Blvd., Mount Pleasant. Shoots are held each Wednesday-Saturday from 6:30-10 p.m., along with the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday before Thanksgiving.
Looper-Palooza, an annual two-day boating conference combining information, education and entertainment associated with America's Great Loop, will be held Nov. 13-14 at Wild Dunes Resort. The Great Loop is a 6,000-mile journey circumnavigating the easter part of the U.S. and Canada, cruising up the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway, through the New York State Canals, into the Great Lakes, down the inland river system, across the Gulf of Mexico, and around the southern tip of Florida. The cost for the event is $49 per person. By The Numbers Spot-Tail Tournament
The Charleston Angler's By The Numbers Spot-Tail Tournament is underway and continues through Dec. 4. There is one winner each week of the tournament, determined by the most spots. The cost is $15 and each angler is allowed to score one fish each week. Call 843-571-3899.
