FLORENCE — A fourth teen has been arrested in the New Year’s Day shooting death of a Florence man.
Police Chief Anson Shells says a 16-year-old was arrested Tuesday afternoon and charged with murder, armed robbery, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, burglary and conspiracy.
Forty-nine-year-old Michael Hawkins was shot to death after three people entered his home and confronted the victim and his 18-year-old daughter. She was not hurt.
Hawkins worked as a coach in the community.
Nineteen-year-old Jacquell McCullum of Florence and two other teens were arrested last week on the same charges.
