YORK — A Rock Hill teen who pleaded guilty to charges of killing a man last year and wounding two others in separate robberies has been sentenced to 40 years in prison.

Seventeen-year-old Brandon Alex Davis pleaded guilty last month to voluntary manslaughter, two counts of armed robbery, three counts of attempted murder, two counts of possession of a weapon during a violent crime and criminal conspiracy.

Twenty-three-year-old Anthony Whitlock was shot and killed Oct. 19, 2010, after he gave Davis a ride.

Prosecutors say Davis and three others stolen $1,500 in a cash box from the “Trail of Terror in York County on Oct. 16, 2010. The man collecting tickets and another employee were wounded in the robbery.

The Herald of Rock Hill reported Davis was given the maximum sentence.
