ORANGEBURG — A Summerville man has been arrested in the shooting death of a man in Orangeburg County last week.
The Times and Democrat of Orangeburg reported that 31-year-old Demetrice Dwight Perry of Summerville is charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Sheriff’s deputies say 50-year-old Silas Williams was shot in the hip during a confrontation in Vance on Jan. 26. Witnesses said the men were arguing when Perry pulled a gun at fired at Williams.
Deputies are looking for a woman accused as an accessory. Investigators say she drove Perry from the scene to Summerville.
