Soapy bubbles spilling from a water fountain may have caused motorists some mirth as they rounded a Mount Pleasant traffic circle this morning, but didn't do any damage, town officials said.
The fountain is the middle of a roundabout on Rifle Range and Venning roads, down the street from Mount Pleasant Waterworks. It has been the frequent target of similar pranks, said Nicole Frampton, the utility's director of communications. It is not part of the utility.
"It may have made some people laugh on the way to work," Frampton said.
Mount Pleasant police Sgt. Steve Meadows said no suspects had been identified.
The suds first appeared last night or early this morning.
