MYRTLE BEACH — There’s been still another bomb threat at Myrtle Beach High School, the third in as many days.

Authorities evacuated the school Friday morning after a note was found in a cafeteria. There were similar evacuations Wednesday and Thursday when notes were found in a bathroom and on a wall. No devices were found after the earlier searches.

Nearby Saint James High School had five bomb threats in the last 15 days and three arrests have been made.

County schools spokeswoman Teal Britton says because of safety concerns, every time there is a bomb threat schools need to be evacuated.

But Britton says the incidents seem to be fed by media attention. She says the more attention and disruption, the more likely the incidents will continue.
