Professional wrestling — Lowcountry style — will take to the outdoors today when Old School Championship Wrestling presents a show at the Market Street Saloon in North Charleston.

The event, dubbed “Showdown at the Saloon,” will be held outside the Saloon located at 7690 Northwoods Blvd.

Former TNA TV and X division champ Robbie E will lock horns with Killian O'Con in one of the featured bouts. Robbie E appeared on TNA's Lockdown pay-per-view last Sunday in a losing effort against current TV champ Devon Dudley in a steel cage match.

Veteran hardcore star Axl Rotten also will appear on the OSCW show in a three-way hardcore match with Asylum and Calie Casanova.

The event also includes current NWA Anarchy Young Lions champ John Skyler, Vordell Walker, Josh Magnum, Jon Malus, Steven Walters, DeAndre Jackson, Tank Lewis, Brandon Paradise, Bradford Steele, Reginald Vanderhoff, Solitude, Michael Frehley, Roughhouse Matthews, Jesse Windham, Ken Magnum, Michael Frehley, Nick Kismet, Hoss Hagood, Kevin Phoenix and Miss Harden.

The show has an early bell time of 4 p.m. Seating begins at 3 p.m.

The outdoors venue is a departure from the promotion's home base at the Hanahan Rec Center.

Organizers of the show say they're keeping their fingers crossed for clear skies.

“In six years OSCW has never canceled an event, and we don't plan to start now. We're trusting the sun shines on us ... at least from 3-7 p.m. Sunday,” said OSCW promoter Joe Blumenfeld.

Adult admission (cash at door) is $10; kids 12 and under $5.

An indoor concert will follow the show for ages 18 and up.

For last-minute information or updates on the event, call 743-4800, visit www.oscwonline.com or check the OSCW Facebook page.
