Heathwood Hall jumped out to a 24-8 lead at the end of one quarter and made it 38-17 at halftime en route to a 67-54 victory over

Porter-Gaud in a SCISA boys' Class AAA state semifinal on Friday.

Heathwood Hall improved to 20-5 with the victory at the Sumter Civic Center. Porter-Gaud finished the season with a 17-8 record.

Porter-Gaud advanced to the semifinal with an impressive 64-57 victory over the Hammond School on Wednesday. Porter-Gaud was down

by 14 points at halftime, but won thanks to a 30-point scoring spree in the fourth quarter.

But the Highlanders kept the Cyclones in check in the second half on Friday.
