CLEMSON – Citadel transfer Brad Felder homered and had three RBIs in Clemson’s opening series against Alabama-Birmingham over the weekend and College of Charleston transfer Thomas Brittle had three hits in nine at bats while helping Clemson to two wins in three games.

Clemson graduated its entire starting outfield from last season’s team giving Brittle and Felder the early opportunity to come in and start this season. Both have outstanding speed and Felder also has some power. In 159 career games at The Citadel, Felder hit .252 with 19 doubles, 10 triples, 18 home runs, 107 runs and 36 steals.

Felder’s mother, the former Bobbie Mims, was a Clemson women’s basketball great and is the Clemson Athletic Hall of Fame.
