Rachelle Coward had a career-high 27 points for the Charleston Southern women's basketball team, but it wasn't enough as UNC Wilmington rallied with second-half runs of 11-0 and 13-0 at Buccaneer Fieldhouse.
CSU (6-3) led 53-39 on a 3 by Coward with 12:41 left, but UNCW (5-4) rallied with an 11-0 run.
The Bucs pushed the lead back up to nine, but the Seahawks used a 13-0 run to take the lead with 3:15 to go. Helen Terry hit two free throws for CSU to tie it at 68 with 1:12 to go, but the Seahawks hit four straight free throws to close out the win.
Karneshia Garrett led UNC Wilmington with 18 points.
Terry scored 15 for the Bucs, while Lakeitha Alston added 13.
The Bucs face Florida in Gainesville on Tuesday in the University of Florida tournament.
