Wofford 12, The Citadel 11
SPARTANBURG -- Wofford scored 11 runs in the final three innings to hand the Bulldogs their first Southern Conference loss of the season.
The Citadel (20-8, 10-1 SoCon) committed a season-high five errors against the Terriers (9-18, 3-5), who snapped a seven-game losing skid when Mac Doyle's sacrifice fly scored the winning run.
After taking an 8-1 lead in the seventh inning, the Bulldogs allowed five runs in the bottom of the inning and five in the eighth to fall behind 11-10. In the top of the ninth, Kyle Jordan hit a solo homer to give The Citadel a short-lived lead.
Bryan Altman went 4-for-4 for the Bulldogs with a homer, two doubles and three RBIs.
