SPARTANBURG — Starter Cody Brittan hit a three-run home run in the first and the Spartans scored five in the fourth to improve to 18-20. Brandon Gragilla homered for CSU (15-23).

CONWAY — The Chanticleers (28-10) and the Cougars (21-15-1) split the season series, each winning two games on their home turf. Coastal Carolina has won nine straight, 16 of its last 17 and 22 of its last 25.

The College got three hits each from Bradley Jones and Luke Manzo. It was the 10th career three-hit game for Jones.

The 13-25 Bulldogs return to Riley Park on Friday for a 4 p.m. contest against SoCon foe Western Carolina.

GREENVILLE — South Carolina belted out 18 hits with TJ Hopkins 4-for-5 and Dom Thompson-Williams 4-for-4 with three doubles and a triple at Fluor Field. South Carolina is now 30-8 on the year with Furman dropping to 15-22.
