White, Ryan fuel Falcons

SPARTANBURG -- After taking a 14-7 halftime lead, Wando grew stronger and held Spartanburg to minus-21 yards of offense in the second half as the Warriors took a 21-7 victory in the first round of the Class AAAA playoffs on Friday night.

Wando took a 14-0 lead after its opening two possessions of the game thanks to a couple of big plays.

Micah Kinloch caught a 55-yard touchdown pass from Josh Walker before Walker ran 81 yards for another score.

Wando finished with 280 yards on 50 rushes. Walker went 145 yards on 17 carries, and teammate Cameron Rouse had 113 yards on 26 carries.

Wando will play host to Blythewood next week.
