COLUMBIA -- For the third straight week, a South Car-olina pitcher has earned SEC pitcher of the week honors. Junior right-hander Sam Dyson was named the conference pitcher of the week, following his three-hit complete game shutout in the seven-inning win over Georgia on Sunday.

Dyson earned a second straight win in conference play and is now 4-2 with 4.35 ERA on the year. He has 53 strikeouts to just nine walks in 51 2/3 innings.

--South Carolina sophomore outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr. was invited to the 2010 USA Baseball Collegiate National Team Trials set for July 5-11 at the National Training Complex in Cary, N.C.


Junior Matt Talley has been tabbed pitcher of the week for his performance against Davidson on Saturday.

Talley threw a complete game shutout against the Wildcats, allowing only three hits and a walk while striking out a career-high nine.

The southpaw allowed only a single and faced the minimum through eight innings, and he retired 17 consecutive batters after allowing the leadoff single in the third inning.
