South Carolina football coach Steve Spurrier announced Tuesday that Stephen Garcia will be his starting quarterback when the Gamecocks host No. 1 Alabama in Columbia on Oct. 9.

But is it the right decision?

Garcia threw for 235 yards and three touchdowns but lost two fumbles in the fourth quarter of South Carolina’s 35-27 loss at Auburn on Saturday.

Backup quarterback Connor Shaw, a true freshman, replaced Garcia late in the game and had some success, taking South Carolina down the field on two possessions. But both of those drives ended with Shaw throwing interceptions.

So who do you think should start next Saturday?
