COLUMBIA — South Carolina has added a home baseball game against High Point to replace Tuesday’s game against Davidson cancelled due to rain.

High Point will visit Carolina Stadium for a 4 p.m. game on March 4. Tickets from the rained-out Davidson game will be accepted. The Panthers last played the Gamecocks in 1973, when South Carolina won a pair of extra-inning games.

High Point, a member of the Big South Conference, is 1-4 and has had two games cancelled this week due to weather.

The 13th-ranked Gamecocks (6-1) next play in a three-game series against Clemson, with games scheduled for Friday in Clemson, Saturday in Greenville, and Sunday at noon at Carolina Stadium. The finale of the series will be televised by SEC Network.
