LEXINGTON — Junior Elliot Lance threw a complete game shutout as Wofford defeated Charleston Southern at Lexington County Baseball Stadium on Tuesday night.
The 25-18 Terriers were led by McClain Bradley and Demetrius Jennings with three hits each, while Kody Ruedisili had a solo home run. The 15-27 Bucs had two hits from Kevin Hickey.
Charleston Southern is now off until next weekend, when they travel to Winthrop for the start of a Big South Conference series.
CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte 49ers (18-24) scored four runs in the first inning and then extended their lead with runs in the next two frames before clinching a 15-4 win.
Bret Hines drove in his 13th and 14th RBI of the year with a double down the right field line in the top of the ninth for The Citadel (15-27).
The Bulldogs return to Riley Park to host SoCon foe Furman. The series begins with a 1 p.m. doubleheader on Saturday.
