The Asheville Tourists overcame an early three-run deficit to beat the Charleston RiverDogs, 5-4, in South Atlantic League baseball Thursday night in front of 5,091 fans at Riley Park.

Charleston (26-40, 52-84 overall) surged to a 3-0 lead in the first with all three runs scoring on a bases-loaded error on a roller from Jose Mojica.

But the Tourists (37-29, 68-76) tied it in the fifth before breaking the deadlock on a sacrifice fly by Dustin Garneau in the seventh. Asheville added a run in the eighth on an RBI single from Cristhian Adames.

That run would be the difference, as Charleston's Kevin Mahoney homered in the bottom of the inning.
