Notable:This non-region game will feature two teams that rely on the ground game. Beaufort’s Jaclay Mixon has been impressive with 97 rushes for 651 yards and 11 TDs. Goose Creek is more balanced with five players who have rushed for at least 200 yards with Caleb Kinlaw leading the way with 424 yards. The Gators, winners of 19 of their last 20 games, are No. 18 in the latest MaxPreps national poll.
Keep an eye on:Goose Creek junior linebacker Daylin Julius. He has seven sacks this season and has had back-to-back games with 16 tackles.
Did you know:Goose Creek’s game against Cane Bay on Oct. 12 will be televised by ESPNU.

Notable:Orangeburg-Wilkinson lost to the state’s No. 1 Class AA team Bamberg-Ehrhardt in the season opener and rolled to three straight victories before losing to Richland Northeast last week. Hanahanenters with a three-game winning streak, outscoring foes 110-28. The Hawks beat Wade Hampton, 49-14, last week as Mario Gates caught three TDs including a school record 99-yarder from quarterback Anthony Smalls.
Keep an eye on: Orangeburg-Wilkinson defensive back Jadar Johnson. He’s one of the best athletes in the state and has committed to play for Clemson.
Did you know: Hanahan has a 22-17 record under Patterson, who is in his fourth year as coach.

Coaches:John Cantey, Bishop England; Jim Schuman, Battery Creek.
Notable:Both teams are undefeated in Region 6-AA play. The Bishops have allowed just 70 points. The Bishops intercepted 32 passes last fall, but have just three picks in five games. Battery Creek has conference wins against Garrett Tech and Ridgeland-Hardeeville, but the defense has been suspect allowing 27 points per game.
Keep an eye on:Bishop England running back Deangelo Stephenson. He’s rushed for 518 yards and nine touchdowns. He averages 13.3 yards per carry.
Did you know:The series is tied 4-4. Battery Creek won the last time the schools met, posting a 42-6 decision in 1997.
