CLEMSON - The Clemson baseball team is counting on a couple Charleston-area transfers to reload its outfield.
After losing its entire starting outfield from last season's NCAA Tournament team, College of Charleston transfer Thomas Brittle is projected to start in center field for Clemson while Brad Felder, a transfer from The Citadel, is expected to play in right field. Brittle is from Cross and Felder is from Bowman.
Both players possess above average speed, each stealing 14 bases last season. Felder has been clocked as running a 6.3 second 60-yard dash. Both players were draw to Clemson coach Jack Leggett's aggressive style of play, which includes plenty of stolen base attempts and hit-and-run situations in spacious Doug Kingsmore Stadium.
Clemson begins its baseball season at 4 p.m. Feb. 17 at home vs. UAB.
