Summerville YMCA gymnasts earn medals

Several Summerville YMCA gymnasts earned recognition at their first out-of-state competition of 2015, the Ozone Invitational held in Knoxville, Tenn.

Ashley Walker of the Level 8 Team tied for third on floor with a 9.325.

In Level 6, Grace King tied for first on beam in her age group with a 9.275; Caitlyn Christmas tied for second on beam with a 9.275; and Rileigh Koellner placed second on vault with a 9.575. The Level 6 Team tied for eighth with a 107.87.

In Level 4, Autumn Javier earned third on beam with a 9.275 and Nicole Askins finished first on vault with an 8.8. The Level 4 team placed seventh with a 104.22.

In Level 3, Ebony Johnson was third on floor with a 9.575; Cadence Womble was third on vault with a 9.35; Amari Johnson placed third on bars with a 9.25; and Lindsey Young earned third on vault with a 9.625. The Level 3 Team placed sixth with a 110.52.

In Level 2, Layla Anderson earned third on vault with a 9.175 and Megan Ridgeway earned third on beam with an 8.825. The Level 2 Team placed fourth with a 106.27.
