The South Carolina Stingrays had their nine-game winning streak halted with a 3-1 ECHL loss to Trenton on Friday night at the North Charleston Coliseum.

Titans defenseman Ray DiLauro scored the game-winning goal on the power play at 14:24 in the third period. Trenton's Ryan Hayes iced the win with an empty-net goal.

Forward Greg Stewart opened the scoring for the Stingrays (24-17-1-1) with an unassisted shorthanded goal at 18:49 of the first period, beating Titans goaltender Dave Caruso (33 saves on 34 shots) on the breakaway.

The Titans (15-19-3-3) responded at 9:43 of the second period when forward Steve Silva lifted a wrist shot over the glove of Stingrays netminder Philipp Grubauer (19 saves on 21 shots) from the bottom of the right-wing circle.

The Stingrays ended the night 0 for 4 on the power play, while the Titans went 1 for 4.

The Stingrays will hold their annual Pack the House Night at 7 p.m. today against the Titans at the North Charleston Coliseum. All tickets are $5, and parking is free. The Stingrays are also hosting a fundraiser for Zach Szala, who was bitten twice by a rattlesnake. All donations will be accepted at the Stingrays' customer service table and by volunteers walking around the main concourse.
