TNT's drama pilot "The Line" has found its lead actor in Emmy nominee and Golden Globe winner Dylan McDermott.

The former star of "The Practice" will star in the Jerry Bruckheimer-produced show as the leader of an undercover unit in the Los Angeles Police Department, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

McDermott's character is a lieutenant who created the undercover unit and works to maintain a professional relationship with his officers despite his personal feelings toward them. His cops, in turn, are trying to stay clean in the face of the numerous temptations their undercover work throws at them.
