Stingrays claim South crown

— The South Carolina Stingrays scored six unanswered goals to earn a 6-2 win over Norfolk on Friday night at the Norfolk Scope to clinch the South Division title.

Joe Devin had three points, and both Kelly Zajac and Caleb Herbert notched two goals.

Mark Dekanich earned his 19th win of the season in goal for the Stingrays in his 200th professional game in North America. He stopped 27 shots.

The Stingrays have not lost in regulation since Feb. 28.

The Stingrays (43-18-7-3) finish the regular season in Norfolk on Saturday at 7:15 p.m.
