FLORENCE—Jaxon Pate and Tyler Futrell combined to pitch a no-hitter to lead the Hanahan All-Stars over the Walterboro All-Stars, 11-2, Saturday in the Dixie Majors State Tournament.

Pate recorded six strikeouts, five walks and gave up two runs in the first three innings, and Futrell had three strikeouts and a walk in the final three.

Hanahan’s Nick Arnold and Sammy Palmer each homered in the fifth inning.

Hanahan plays the winner of Walhalla and Mullins today.

The Charleston Yacht Club began its 79th Open Regatta with sailors competing in nine different boat classes Saturday in the Charleston Harbor.
