College of Charleston's Antwaine Wiggins and Trent Wiedeman and The Citadel's Mike Groselle were named to the coaches' All-Southern Conference basketball team Tuesday.
Wiggins averaged 15.9 points and 6.5 rebounds for the Cougars this season, and Wiedeman was at 11.8 points and 8.8 rebounds. Groselle was second in the league in scoring at 16.6 points per game, and led the SoCon in rebounding (9.7).
Charleston center Adjehi Baru (7.8 ppg, 6.3 rpg) made the coaches' all-freshman team.
Davidson forward De'Mon Brooks (15.8 ppg, 6.3 rpg) was named player of the year, and Wildcats coach Bob McKillop won coach of the year honors. Wofford guard Karl Cochran (11.3 ppg) was named freshman of the year, and teammate Brad Loesing was named defensive player of the year.
