Todd Smith of Matthews, N.C., posted a 1-over-par 71 Tuesday to earn a one-shot victory over Walter Hall of Advance, N.C., in the Carolinas PGA Yeamans Hall Senior Open. Smith finished the 36-hole tournament at 1-under 139. Hall shot 72 on Tuesday and finished a stroke ahead of John Budwine of Apex, N.C., and Jack Nance of Pinehurst, N.C.

Nance, the director of the Carolinas Golf Association, won the amateur title, shooting a 4-under 66 in the final round for a 141 total. Mo York of Mount Pleasant and Mike Bright of Mount Pleasant were among the players tied for sixth overall and second among amateur contestants.

Perry Green of Wescott Plantation made a hole-in-one on the 200-yard, par-3 16th. He tied for 24th overall at 147.
