The high school playoffs in spring sports get back underway Monday, with girls' soccer joining the fray and top-ranked Sumter visiting Wando in a Class AAAA baseball showdown.
The winner of the 7 p.m. game between Sumter and Wando in Mount Pleasant will be in the driver's seat in the AAAA Lower State tournament. Meanwhile, West Ashley faces an elimination game against visiting Lexington, the defending state champion, at 7 p.m.
In AAA baseball, Berkeley begins the Lower State tournament with a home game against Socastee. And in AA baseball, Bishop England goes to Loris in a winners' bracket game.
Meanwhile, the girls' soccer playoffs kickoff with home matches for Wando, West Ashley, Fort Dorchester, Ashley Ridge, James Island, Academic Magnet and Bishop England.
In boys' tennis, the Lower State semifinals are on tap with Summerville at South Aiken and Lexington at Wando in AAAA, and Dillon at Bishop England and Academic Magnet at Waccamaw in AA.
