Freshmen Marquise Pointer, 19 points, four assists and four steals, and Jarrell Brantley, 16 points and 11 rebounds, led the Cougars in the win ... The Cougars were 17 of 22 (78 percent) from the free throw line in the game ... The Cougars swept the two-game regular-season series against Towson ... Drexel is coming off a 78-56 loss to William & Mary on Thursday ... The Dragons’ one CAA win came against the Cougars, 61-54, on Jan. 9 ... Payton Hulsey was the only player to score in double figures for the Cougars with 11 points. Rodney Williams led Drexel with 19 points.

The Bulldogs lost to Mercer, 91-80, on Jan. 9 at McAlister Field House ... Freshman Connor Schroeder led the Bulldogs in that game with 14 points ... Mercer’s Stephon Jelks had a monster game that day with 24 points and 17 rebounds, and Stratford High School product Demetre Rivers scored 17 points.
