Reel Passion, owned by Bill Ingram and captained by Gary Richardson, won its second straight South Carolina Governor’s Cup Billfishing Series event, the Carolina Billfish Classic fished out of Toler’s Cove Marina in Mount Pleasant and Georgetown Landing.

Second place with 1,400 release points for two blue marlin and one sailfish went to Three J’s, owned and captained by John Spencer.
Caramba, owned by Bob Faith and captained by Dale Lackey, finished third with 1,200 points after releasing one blue marlin and three sailfish.
The 28 boats that fished the tournament released a total of 24 billfish – 12 blue marlin, one white marlin and 11 sailfish.
Jason Watkins, aboard Sea Tiger, had the top dolphin at 46.2 pounds while Russ Parker, aboard My Three Sons, caught the largest wahoo, 38.2 pounds. No tuna were weighed in the tournament.
The final tournament in the 2015 Governor’s Cup series is the MegaDock Billfishing Tournament July 8-11.
