AUGUSTA -- Neil Medchill went 2 for 4 with a home run and three RBIs, as the RiverDogs ended a season-high nine-game losing streak in besting the Augusta GreenJackets, 4-2, in an eight-inning, rain-shortened game on Tuesday.

Augusta (4-2) assumed a 1-0 lead in the second on a two-out RBI single by Hector Sanchez off Charleston starter Jairo Heredia. But Heredia (3-1) did not allow another run in six, permitting just three base hits with two walks and a season-high-tying seven punchouts.

Ryan Flannery pitched a scoreless eighth for his eighth save of the season.
