CLEMSON - Clemson and Ball State are each expected to push the pace today as Ball State (1-0) produced a nation-best 96 plays in its season-opening win against Eastern Michigan. No. 12 Clemson (1-0) produced 87 against Auburn, third in the nation. Both teams produced 300 yards rushing and 200 yards passing in their opening week victories, joining three other teams in reaching both benchmarks.

The game kicks off at 12:30 p.m. and is televised on the ACC Network, Clemson is favored by 27 points.

Clemson star receiver Sammy Watkins will not play today as he serves the second game of his two-game suspension.

Injury: Clemson right tackle Gifford Timothy (knee) will not play today after aggravating his knee late against Auburn. Freshman Shaq Anthony is expected to start in his place.
