Pick Six: High school predictions

The Post and Courier's Phil Bowman and WCBD-TV's Brendan Clark are dead even after four weeks of picking high school football games in the Lowcountry.

Clark went 4-2 last week while Bowman slumped to 3-3 after dislocating his elbow when he patted himself on the back too much, boasting this contest was over after taking a one-game lead. It's wide open at this point. Bowman and Clark are both 17-7 on the year.

Here are this week's picks:

Garrett Tech at Burke

Bowman: Have to go with the home team today. Burke, 22-18.

Clark: Bulldogs win low-scoring game, 14-12.

Stratford at Summerville

Bowman: Have to go with the visiting team in this one. Stratford, 21-13.

Clark: Coach Stackley, feel free to use this as bulletin board material. Wave wins, 28-20.

Ashley Ridge at James Island

Bowman: Swamp Foxes pick up another huge road win. Ashley Ridge, 28-20.

Clark: Off one bandwagon and on another, huh Phil? Foxes, 34-21.

Fort Dorchester at Goose Creek

Bowman: Gators have too much muscle. Goose Creek, 28-17.

Clark: Not ideal rebound situation for Ft "D." Gators win 42-28.

West Ashley at Beaufort

Bowman: West Ashley rebounds with impressive road effort. Wildcats, 17-10.

Clark: Beaufort scores too much on home field. Beaufort wins, 38-27.

Hanahan at Berkeley

Bowman: Berkeley puts together modest two-game winning streak. Stags, 28-7.

Clark: Stags find the end zone in this one. Berkeley wins, 20-8
