Pick Six: High school predictions

The Post and Courier's Phil Bowman has opened up a one-game lead over WCBD-TV's Brendan Clark after three weeks of the Pick Six contest.

Bowman is so confident in picking the top high school football games in the Lowcountry that he is now considering making his picks blindfolded.

Says Clark: "Bowman, you just stuck your finger in the Tiger cage. Big mistake."

For the year, Bowman is 14-4 and Clark brings up the rear at 13-5.

Here are this week's picks:

Beaufort at Stratford

Bowman: Don't look now, but Knights will be 4-0. Stratford, 21-13.

Clark: Beaufort not the same team on the road. Knights win, 24-21.

James Island at Wando

Bowman: See Bolus. See Bolus run. James Island, 23-14.

Clark: See Wando stop him. Wando bounces back with big win, 17-14.

Ashley Ridge at West Ashley

Bowman: West Ashley goes 4-0 for first time in school history. Wildcats, 28-24.

Clark: Not so fast, Phil. I'm going with Swamp Foxes, 28-24.

Summerville at Fort Dorchester

Bowman: McKissick will have to wait 'til next year to reach 600 career victories. Fort Dorchester, 21-17.

Clark: Patriots can score quickly. 35-14, P-Men.

Cane Bay at Hanahan

Bowman: Cane Bay evens record at 2-2. Cobras, 28-10.

Clark: Off week serves Hanahan well. Hawks win it, 21-20.

Baptist Hill at Bishop England

Bowman: Bishops gain third straight win after season-opening loss. Bishops, 20-12.

Clark: Have to agree with Bowman on this one. Bishop England, 24-14.
