Pick Six: High School Football Predictions

The Post and Courier's Phil Bowman finally showed why he make the big bucks. Bowman went 5-1 in picking the top high school games in the Lowcountry while WCBD-TV's Brendan Clark limped home at 3-3.

Clark still leads the season, but just barely. He's 14-10, while Bowman is 13-11.

Here are this week's picks:

James Island at Ashley Ridge

Bowman: Upset special. Ashley Ridge tops another Class AAAA foe tonight, 21-17.

Clark: I don't call it an upset. Home-field advantage and a ton of confidence. Foxes win close one, 27-24.

Goose Creek at Fort Dorchester

Bowman: Fort Dorchester puts up valiant effort, but Goose Creek wins, 28-21.

Clark: GC scores 127 points in two games. They're running downhill. Gators over P-Men, 35-14.

Summerville at Stratford

Bowman: Wave has more weapons than Henderson. Summerville, 35-14.

Clark: Always a good game and good rivalry. Green Wave wins pulling away late: 31-10.

Berkeley at Hanahan

Bowman: Stags impressive on the road. Berkeley, 28-10. Clark: I still think Stags can win rest of regular season games. 27-6.

Burke at Garrett Tech

Bowman: Burke hands Falcons first loss, 20-16.

Clark: Bulldogs have lost three straight ... make it four. Garrett, 14-8.

Bishop England at North Charleston

Bowman: I think I've been wrong every time I've picked a BE game. Bishops, 14-10.

Clark: The more disciplined team wins. Bishops, 21-17.
