Tickets for the 2012 PGA Championship at Kiawah Island’s famed Ocean Course in August are not sold out, pardon any confusion.

“It’s been a common misconception, and we get asked about ticket availability all the time,” 2012 PGA Championship Director Brett Sterba said Tuesday. “It’s partially our fault because we said we were sold out for some of the days. But practice round tickets as well as tickets for the first-round on Thursday are still available.”

The competitive rounds of the PGA Championship, the last of golf’s four majors, are scheduled for August 9-12.

Tickets for Thursday’s first round are on sale for $110 apiece.

Practice round tickets are $45 for Monday and Tuesday $60 for Wednesday.

Juniors 17 and under receive complimentary grounds access with an accompanying adult ticket (each ticketed adult will be permitted four junior admissions daily) at no extra charge).
