Robb Boyne caught one fish that weighed 6.69 pounds, large enough to win the big fish prize and the overall prize in the Creekside Bassmasters’ February tournament held out of Black’s Camp on the Santee Cooper lakes. Corey Casey was second with two fish that weighed 6.63 pounds and Dwayne Reine third with two fish that weighed 6.56 pounds.

The Charleston Inshore Anglers’ 23rd annual Sheepshead Tournament will be fished April 25. The South Carolina Duck Calling Contest will be held March 8 on Main Street at Georgetown with the state champion earning a spot in the World Duck Calling Contest in Stuttgart, Ark. The event begins at noon with the Junior Open for callers 16 and younger as of Thanksgiving 2015. The S.C. State Contest, open to South Carolina residents 17 or older as of Thanksgiving 2015, will follow with the winner required to compete in the World Duck Calling Contest.
