No. 4 Arkansas leads Cougar Classic women’s college golf at Yeamans Hall

Arkansas has four players in the top 10 and holds a 10-stroke lead over Virginia heading into Tuesday’s final round of the Cougar Classic being played at Yeamans Hall Club.

Gaby Lopez, third individually, leads the fourth-ranked Razorbacks who posted a team total of 283 Monday and are at 11-under-par 565 after 36 holes. Lopez is at 6-under 138. Summer Roachell and Regina Plasencia are tied for sixth at 142 while Alana Uriell is tied for 10th at 143.

Clemson’s Alice Hewson is tied for the individual lead at 136 with Florida’s Taylor Tomlinson. The Tigers are fifth in the team standings at 587.

Furman, led by Valentina Romero and Taylor Totland, both tied for 23rd at 147, is tied for sixth at 589.

Host College of Charleston is 16th at 605. The Cougars are led by Julia Neumann and Laura Fuenfstueck, who are tied for 59th. The Cougars’ Victoria Dreschler, competing as an individual, is tied for 35th with a score of 149.

Charleston Southern is 17th at 616, with Bella Johnson leading the Buccaneers with a score of 149, tied for 35th.
