GREENVILLE -- J.R. Murphy hit a three-run home run in the eighth inning, and Charleston's bullpen held on for dear life in a 7-5 win over Greenville in South Atlantic League action at Fluor Field Thursday night.

Charleston (21-27) has won two straight.

Down 4-3 in the eighth, Kelvin Castro and Jimmy Paredes each singled for Charleston. Murphy then hit his first SAL homer for a 6-4 lead. The Drive (23-25) got a run back in the eighth on Jeremy Hazelbaker's two-out RBI double.

Castro made it 7-5 with an RBI double in the ninth.

RiverDogs starter Jairo Heredia allowed four runs in 6 2/3 innings with a season-best seven strikeouts.

The RiverDogs continue on the road at 7 tonight with the first game of series with the Kannapolis Intimidators.
