College of Charleston forward/center Glen Pierre, Jr., will transfer to another school, school officials announced Wednesday afternoon.

Pierre, a 6-11 sophomore, become the second player in the last month to leave the Cougars program. Junior center David Wishon also decided to leave after the Cougars season ended in March.

“Glen Pierre is a terrific young man,” CofC Head Coach Earl Grant said. “We wish him the best of luck in the future.”

With the departure of Pierre and Wishon along with the graduation of Ajdehi Baru, the Cougars, who were 9-24 this past season, have just one true post player in Nick Harris. The 6-10 Harris redshirted this past season.

Pierre, played in 41 career games averaging 1.0 points, 1.5 rebounds and 0.5 blocks per game in two seasons with the Cougars. This season Pierre played in 32 games and averaged 1.2 points and 1.8 rebounds a game.

He scored a career-high eight points off the bench against Texas A&M at the Puerto Rico Tip-Off in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
