COLUMBIA — South Carolina will be seeing plenty of orange on Nov. 26, and in more than one place.
USC on Friday formally announced that the Gamecocks’ men’s basketball team will play Syracuse in Barclays Center in New York on Nov. 26 — the same day the South Carolina football team plays at Clemson to close the regular season.
Time and television has not yet been announced for the basketball game, and kickoff time for the football game is not usually set until two weeks prior. USC and Syracuse, which reached the Final Four this past season, last played in the NIT semifinals at Madison Square Garden in 2002.
USC has another game already scheduled in New York next season, against Seton Hall at Madison Square Garden on Dec. 12. The Gamecocks will also travel to Memphis and South Florida in return games for home contests this past season.
