South Carolina swept Missouri in an SEC weekend series and beat Wofford last week but dropped a spot from 11 to 12 on the NCAA's official Ratings Percentage Index list released Tuesday.
The NCAA Tournament Selection Committee doesn't go strictly by RPI rankings when picking its top eight national seeds but the criteria is important. The top eight teams are in line to host super regionals if they advance through first-round regionals.
Clemson lost two of three at Notre Dame last weekend and fell from No. 43 to No. 46 - near if not squarely on the NCAA tournament bubble.
The College of Charleston is 73, The Citadel is 202 and Charleston Southern is 207.
