CLEMSON -- Brad Brownell added a fifth member to his first signing class as Clemson's basketball coach, adding Laney High (Augusta) guard Rod Hall on Monday. The 6-2 guard was also considering Coastal Carolina and Nebraska.
"Rod is an extremely talented athlete and a very competitive young man," Brownell said. "He's accomplished a great deal in his high school career, and we're glad to add another winner to our program. He is a very good ball-handler and passer who will give us added depth. He possesses the size, strength and tenacity necessary to be a very good defender in our program."
Hall, rated a two-star prospect by ESPN, is a two-time all-state pick who can also score. He averaged 24.7 points as a senior. He was also a first-team all-state wide receiver last season.
Hall joins three-star signees in T.J. Sapp, Devil Coleman and K.J. McDaniels in the Tigers' signing class. Clemson has signed one four-star prospect in Bernard Sullivan.
