HANAHAN -- Belen Jesuit (Fla.) defeated James Island, 7-4, in the semifinals of the Hanahan Invitational Tournament at Hanahan High School on Thursday night.

Belen Jesuit will face Whitewater (Ga.) for the championship at noon today.

Whitewater (Ga.) played an exhibition game against Hanahan also on Thursday night with the Hawks winning, 9-2. Evan Jordan pitched a complete game for Hanahan. Brett Hines hit a solo homer and Tyler Allen added a three-run homer for the Hawks' final margin of victory.

Whitewater's original opponent, Grassfield (Va.), could only play three games and had to return home.
