LOWCOUNTRY ANGLERS: The Lowcountry Anglers fishing tournament will be fished Saturday. Registration and captain's meeting will be held 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Charleston Maritime Center. The entry fee is $35 for adults and $15 for youth (15 and under). Eligible species include king mackerel, Spanish mackerel, spadefish, bluefish, sheepshead, trout, flounder and black seabass. KAYAK FISHING SEMINAR: Tommy 'Too Busy' Samuels will lead a seminar on kayak fishing from 9-11 a.m. Saturday at Old Santee Canal State Park. The cost is $3 admission to the park. Three participants will have an opportunity for on-water instruction following the seminar, while others will have an opportunity to visit some of the local waterways with 'The Friends of the Blueways.' PORTSIDE BAPTIST CHURCH FISHING TOURNAMENT: The Portside Baptist Church 10th annual Catfish and Largemouth Bass Tournament will be fished Saturday out of Bushy Park. Fishing is sunrise until 2 p.m., with weigh-in from noon to 2 p.m. The entry fee is $20 for adults and $7 for children. The entry deadline is Wednesday. JOE'S BUDDIES TOURNAMENT: The Joe's Buddies Tournament will be fished June 19. The tournament is named in honor of Joe Shuford, and proceeds will be used to grow Joe's Reef, which is offshore of the Charleston 60 Reef. The entry fee is $40 per angler with a 75-percent payout. VETERANS KING MACKEREL TOURNAMENT: The Veterans King Mackerel Fishing Tournament will be held June 19 out of Charleston Harbor and Resort Marina. JOHN HAM MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT: The John Ham Memorial Santee Cooper Fishing Tournament will be held June 18-19 out of Black's Camp on the Santee Cooper lakes, with proceeds benefiting the Cross chapter of Wildlife Action. LOWCOUNTRY BASSMASTERS: The Lowcountry Bassmasters will continue with their Working Man's BuddyTournaments this summer on the Cooper River at Cypress Gardens. The tournaments are being held every Thursday evening until July 29. Registration will be at 3:30 p.m., blast-off at 5:30 p.m. and weigh-in at 8:30 p.m. The top 20 teams qualify for the championship and teams will be ranked by total weight this year. GOOSE CREEK BASS CLUB: The Summer Slam Bass Fishing Trail continues through July 31 (excluding July 3) on Saturdays out of Cypress Gardens Landing. Registration begins at 4 p.m., with blast-off at 5 p.m. and weigh-in at 9 p.m. Entry fees are $50 per team with optional $10 big fish pot. Each team will drop their two lowest tournaments, with the top 10 teams qualifying for the classic tournament, scheduled Aug. 2, which will offer a $1,000 payout. COOPER RIVER BASSMASTERS: The Cooper River Bassmasters' Beat the Heat Bass Opens will be held June 19, July 10, July 24, Aug. 7, Aug. 21 from safe light to noon out of Cypress Gardens Landing.
