CHARLESTON INSHORE ANGLERS SHEEPSHEAD TOURNAMENT: The Charleston Inshore Anglers' 18th annual Sheepshead Tournament will be fished from 6 a.m.-5 p.m. April 24. The entry fee is $30, with cash prizes through 10th place, youth angler (16 and under) and largest dogfish. LOWCOUNTRY BASSMASTERS: The Lowcountry Bassmasters will continue with its Working Man's BuddyTournaments this summer on the Cooper River at Cypress Gardens. The tournaments will be every Thursday evening starting May 6 and continuing until July 29. Registration will be at 3:30 p.m., blast-off at 5:30 p.m. and weigh-in at 8:30 p.m. The top 20 teams qualify for the championship and teams will be ranked by total weight this year. SUMMER BOATING SEMINARS: Charleston Sail and Power Squadron will offer seminars on April 24 and May 22 at SeaRay-Scout of Charleston, located at 142 Sportsman Boulevard on Daniel Island. Two seminars on April 24 will cover navigation rules at 9:30 a.m., and how to use a chart at 1 p.m. The cost is $40 for one seminar and $70 for both. CREEKSIDE BASSMASTERS: Gary Arnold and John King caught five bass that weighed 28.86 pounds to take first place in the Creekside Bassmasters Spring Fling tournament held out of Black's Camp on the Santee Cooper Lakes. They also won the big fish award with a 10.25-pound catch. Wade Grooms and Albert Piepes were second with five bass that weighed 28.68 pounds, followed by: Sid Fowler Sr.-Sid Fowler Jr., five fish, 28.33; Henry McFadden-Wayne King, five fish, 26.31; and Kent Ward-Greg Boone, five fish, 25.66.

BOHICKET KICKS OFF GOVERNOR'S CUP: The Bohicket Marina Invitational Billfish Tournament, one of the original events in what formed the South Carolina Governor's Cup, will kick off the 2010 series May 12-15.
