Pat Hanzlik takes pride in her extensive family tree. The 87-year-old matriarch boasts 10 children, 21 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
But a gaudy golden trophy is her most recent source of self-esteem.
The Northfield, Minn., native is believed to be the oldest woman -- and person -- to be crowned champion in a fantasy football league.
"Who else's Grandma plays fantasy football -- and at 87 years old?" granddaughter Cassidy Hanzlik told The Northfield News.
Pat has been playing fantasy football for a quarter-century -- longer than many of the game's nearly 30 million users have been alive.
And 25 years ago, statistics were recorded after gleaning the newspaper, rather than simply refreshing a web page or perusing a smartphone.
"I had played (back then) with people at work and we would check the injury reports, record players' yards and everything by reading the paper," Pat said. "I also played against my husband, too. That was definitely the wrong thing to do."
While ESPN said about 5.4 million other women played fantasy football this past season, Hanzlik came out on top of the 12-team league she participates online with through Yahoo!.
It was Pat's trade back in November with her son Kevin that put her on pace to win the league crown.
"I traded Kevin two players of mine -- Victor Cruz and Cedric ... Cedric Benson," Pat said. "And I got Cam Newton in return."
Newton went on to break Peyton Manning's record for passing yards in a rookie season (4,051) and set the NFL record for rushing yards by a quarterback in a season (706). Pat's team starred standout wide receiver Calvin Johnson and dynamic running back LeSean McCoy.
Hanzlik also owned the fantasy league's best defense -- Pittsburgh.
Hanzlik's Fantasy League team:
QB: Cam Newton (4,051 passing yards, 706 rushing, 35 total TDs)
RB: LeSean McCoy (1,624 total yards, 20 TDs)
RB: Shonn Greene (1,054 rushing yards, six TDs)
WR: Calvin Johnson (1,681 receiving yards, 16 TDs)
WR: Vincent Jackson (1,106 receiving yards, nine TDs)
TE: Jason Witten (942 receiving yards, five TDs)
Kicker: Sebastian Janikowski (31-for-35 field goals on the year)
Defense: Pittsburgh (Ranked No. 1 in fewest points allowed per game -- 14.2 -- and passing yards allowed per game -- 171.9)
Best trade: Traded running back Cedric Benson and wide receiver Victor Cruz to her son, Kevin, for Cam Newton.
