The South Carolina Stingrays (6-3-0-0) fell to the Florida Everblades (3-6-0-1) 1-0 at the North Charleston Coliseum Friday night, snapping the Stingrays' five-game winning streak.

Defenseman Ryan McGinnis buried the game's only goal with a blast over Stingrays goaltender Daren Machesney's right shoulder from the right-wing point at 16:09 of the first period. Forward David Rutherford recorded the assist.

Everblades goaltender John Muse stopped 21 shots to record his first win and shutout of the season.

The Stingrays went 0 for 5 on the power play while the Everblades finished 0 for 4.

The Stingrays host the Toledo Walleye today at 7:05 p.m.
